Exotosis (Tori) Removal

Exostosis, or tori, are benign growths of excess bone that occur on the jaw bone around the teeth or in the roof of the mouth. These growths can frequently be felt as hard bumps under the tongue. These growths generally do not cause a problem, but on occasion they may need to be removed to help eliminate gum disease around teeth or to facilitate the placement of dentures.
